The Coaching Process
HOW IT WORKS
All of our coaching engagements are designed around the individual business leader (coachee) and the needs of the business (client) and includes*:
- pre-coaching needs analysis, data gathering and planning
- contracting including goal setting and agreed coaching plan
- coaching plan implementation
- measuring and reporting progress and outcomes
- transition to ongoing development.
Our coaching practice is rooted in the principle of partnership between the organisation, the business leader being coached and the coach. Subject to the individual requirements, Other Partners may include: the executive’s manager; senior management; Human Resource; peers, including strategic business partners from other organizations; direct reports; other key people in the executive’s life.
Coaching is focussed on enhancing the executive’s strengths and building the key competencies needed to achieve strategic business objectives.
The Sapient process may include use of the following practices and methods:

- rehearsal (role play)
- on-the-job practice and observation
- feedback (peer and 360)
- goal setting
- dialogue
- clarification of roles, assumptions, and priorities

As a trusted advisor to board level executives I have demonstrated an innovative approach to commercial and organisation challenges with 15 years experience of corporate governance and risk management.
40 years experience in the Telcommunications Industry with more than 25 years executive and senior management experience spent helping people and organisations through performance improvement and transformational change.
I have a passion and a record of achievement in creating new business units and recruiting and developing highly effective teams. I do this with a focus on people and by recruiting, developing and coaching diverse teams.
I have knowledge of how different types of businesses work, their functional areas, business models, and industry knowledge along with detailed understanding of the IT and telecommunications industries.
A specialist in business relationships; through my focus on the client and a commitment to building long term productive relationships, I have created partnerships which continue to benefit both my clients and my host business. I am have a track record of achievement in dispute resolution at CxO level and with businesses in both private and public sector.
